Autoflowers go from seed to harvest in about 75 days. That quick turnaround allows us to test equipment, try upgrades, and share results in real time. Some growers prefer photoperiod strains, but autoflowers are ideal for education and experimentation. They allow multiple trials in a season, and the same techniques apply to photoperiod varieties.
Already, the plants are showing sturdy branching, sharp serrated leaves, and that unmistakable diesel funk in early veg. Even before flowering, the aroma hints of lemon zest layered over classic fuel—a good sign of the California Sour Diesel traits we’re after.

Lighting is only half the battle—airflow strengthens stems, balances humidity, and helps prevent mold. Alongside the kit’s standard fan, we added an AeroWave clip-on fan for circulation at different canopy levels. This keeps the tent environment stable while mimicking natural wind, training stems to hold heavy flowers later.
Here you can see the humidifier in action from our last grow. The fine mist keeps the environment just right, while the nearly 4-gallon tank means very low maintenance. Even better, the app sends an alert when the water level is low—making it super convenient for busy growers.
Environmental balance is critical. In our setup, the the AeroStream humidifier keeps humidity stable. But not every grow needs more moisture—sometimes, the challenge is dehumidification. Climate needs change depending on the season, strain, and grow stage.
